The conference was held in the Cape Winelands from 8 -10 October 2008. Participants from 10 different countries around the globe were in attendance.
The conference was a huge success , commencing with a report from the Bridges Ages Board, news from around the globe on different experiences, presentations by museum professionals and a university and education perspective. It was opened by the Mayor of the Cape Wineland District. Delegates participated in a short Time Travel to 1773 at Wolwekloof.
The highlight of the workshop was an African evening in the Township of Zwelethemba. Approx, 35 delegates continued their journey for the next 6 days to view heritage sites, participant in Time Travel in Clanwilliam, 2000BC and visited Robben Island. Delegates representing Port Shepstone were:
